There seems to be this stigma that saying your “I dos” in a foreign location is hard to do. After shooting them, I’m here to tell you that’s not the case. Not only is it easier than you think, but overall a much more memorable experience. Here’s a few reasons to consider destination weddings while you’re in the process of planning!
Scenery
So let’s start with the obvious. I’m sure that your local country club or convention center is beautiful, and you’ve looked at countless stunning images on their website showcasing their awesome decor, but when your tying the knot in Cancun, Mexico, you don’t need much for decorations. The tall palm trees, crystal blue water, and pure white sand provide a perfect backdrop for your images.
Honeymoon? Taken Care of
How convenient is it that after you say your “I dos”, you get to explore and enjoy life in a new location! No worrying about catching your flight the next day, everything is already taken care and all you have to do is relax!
Guest List
One of the toughest things throughout the planning process is creating your guest list (going through all your friends and family, figuring out who’s going to sit where, etc). The benefits of getting hitched in another province is that you can narrow down your guest list and make it a much more intimate experience, all the while spending some quality time with your favorite people! This means you have time to go snorkeling in the Bahama reefs, take a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower, or spend the evening on a gondola in Venice. (Book your flight yet?)
Stress Free
My experience with on-sight planners has been magnificent. Count on them to take care of all the hardwork, from catering to entertainment and everything in between. When these resorts say “all inclusive”, they mean it! This gives you a chance to do what you should be doing, having the time of your life!
If I haven’t convinced you of saying your vows in a new location, that’s totally fine. That wasn’t the goal, but I hope that this has made you consider the option. You only get married once, so why not make it count. Thanks for reading and feel free to send us a message!
